Yesterday was ten years. A decade full of every human emotion attaching to stories I do not wish to retell. Tony died ten years ago in the Wisconsin River. So many others did that year as well. Sixteen or seventeen, my mind refusing to remember. And this year I counted once again the lives lost in the last twelve months. Four including a three year old child.
Part of my every August. Part of my fabric.
But then there’s also this: I have a new book being released in October. Ironically, given the photo above, entitled Gathering Stars! The full title is Gathering Stars: Meditations, Practices, and Prayers for Trauma Recovery. More information in the coming weeks but for now here’s the cover:

I haven’t done any book promoting in years. But with a new book I’ll be doing more presentations. My first is Saturday, August 22nd from 10-12 at the Moline Public Library for the Local Author Showcase. I won’t have the new book with me but I’ll have my first book, A Time to Mourn & A Time to Dance for sale.

Until my next time update, may you sit with your breath, befriend your deepest self, and know that you have the courage to heal.
